Help: Volunteer with Amnesty International’s Digital Verification Corps
Register: 10am 3 February
What is Amnesty International’s Digital Verification Corps?
This term, Amnesty International is offering the opportunity to join the Cambridge University branch of the Digital Verification Corps. This role offers the chance to help combat international injustice and advance human rights by fact-checking, geo-locating and authenticating footage from human rights abuses. Not only will you contribute to an important cause, but you will be taught the practical skills of open source investigation, learn about the global challenges to human rights and join a community of open source investigators with opportunities for friendship, networking and self-growth through international conferences, meetings and socials. After high demand last term, we are opening up applications again, with recruitment running to 10am Friday 3rd February.
We encourage students from all subjects, backgrounds, ages and interests to apply; this is a structured and supportive environment for all identities. We are well aware of the difficulties of the role and provide welfare guidance to all members. While this opportunity is competitive, experience is not a requirement or expectation as you will receive training from us.
