Take this exciting step to stand out and show the world your well-rounded skills and dedication, whether that’s participating in the Emma Experience programming, volunteering for ECSU, MCR or on a college or university committee, or gaining other useful experience.

The main way to earn points is getting involved in Emma Experience events. You just have to include something from each of the four branches: wellbeing. community, skills and careers. Different events will have different levels of points you can earn from them.

Get your experience in a position of student leadership in College or the University recognised.
If you have served in the role a full academic year you can get 60 points. Terms of shorter length will be recognised with 20 points for each full term. You can only claim points in this category once an academic year.

Get your volunteering commitments recognised.
If you have volunteered a full academic year you can get 60 points. Shorter commitments will be recognised too.

Everyone eligible for a Mildmay Award will recieve a certificate.

Those who have registered as part of the certificate scheme will be invited to special Mildmay Award events as well as priority access to other occasional opportunities.

Partificipants in the Acorn Grant scheme will get the opportunity for career coaching to help you think about your future goals.

Everyone who gets their Mildmay Award will be eligible to apply for a £250 Acorn Grant to be a starter fund for continuing your personal and professional development.

RULES

The Mildmay Award is open to all current Emmanuel College students.

Everyone needs to earn 200 points. This can be done by participating in Emma Experience programming and volunteering, or serving in a leadership role. The only restriction is that you just have to have earned points from the Emma Experience programme in each of the four branches: wellbeing. community, skills and careers.
*Except those currently in their final year of studies or a 1-year programme.

Can I build up my points over my degree?
Yes, you can take 1-3 years.

In limited circumstances the rules of the Mildmay Award may be varied to accomodate access requirements or unforseen circumstances if doing so will promote fairness and equal opportunity. Your tutor may be consulted.

We expect everyone to participate with honesty.
False or erroneous claiming of points will result in an immediate disqualification from the Mildmay Award scheme.
